Partition Recovery Program - User Manual
Geeksnerds Windows Data Recovery has different types of scans for data. Run the Software, if you can see the partition from which you want to recover data, then scan for data otherwise you should run the partition scan to find the partition first. If you are not sure about the partition or file system details, then it is recommended that you should try “Raw File Recovery”. The details about Raw File Recovery are also included in the current page.
How to Find Partition:
Select the drive from which you want to recover data and then Select 'Find Partition' option from the toolbar or 'Scan Partition' option from the context menu of partition/drive to run partition scan.
How to Recover Data:
There are five types of data scan included in the software which are:
- Normal Scan
- Advanced Scan
- Formatted Drive Recovery
- Deleted File(s) Recovery
- Raw Files Recovery
You can select the desired type of scan as shown below:
Geeksnerds Windows Data Recovery application shows File System Scan Settings dialog window that will ask to select main memory or disk space as memory for storing file system information found during scanning process.
After completion of the scanning process, tree of lost files and folders will be created. Lost files or folders will be marked with red color. You can save your recovery result.
Select the 'Recover Drive' option from the toolbar or select the files and folders that need to be recovered and then you can select the 'Recover Checked' option from the toolbar or from the context menu. If you select only directories then these directories can be recovered by selecting Recover Directories option from the toolbar or from the context menu. If you select only files then these files can be recovered by selecting Recover Files option from the toolbar or from the context menu. It will show Recovery Option dialog window shown below:

Raw Files Recovery:
If you don't know the file system of your partition and your hard drive is corrupted very badly, then you can select 'Raw Files Recovery' option to recover your files. Raw Files Recovery process recovers data irrespective of file system on any partition. Select the Raw Files Recovery option from the context menu of the corrupted partition or drive.
Select the File Types from the list that you want to recover.
After completion of the scanning process, tree of lost files will be created.

How to Clone Drive:
Geeksnerds Windows Data Recovery includes basic disk cloning feature. Disk cloning feature creates mirror image of one drive to another drive or from one drive to disk image file i.e. creating exact replica of the data. Network Recovery:
Geeksnerds Windows Data Recovery provides data recovery from remote drive that is connected through Network Interface or through Serial D9 Interface. You can perform recovery operation on the remote drives that are connected to a local network by selecting the
"Mount Network Drives..." option given below:
How to Search Files :
Geeksnerds Windows Data Recovery software provide useful and efficient searching tool for recovered files:
- You can search files by specifying either full or only part of the file name.
- Searching can also be performed by specifying a word or a phrase used in the file name.
- Select the particular partition for existing/deleted files and folders.
